Our devices
We are experts in the design and manufacture of high temperature devices for space and nuclear experiments. Our devices designed with refractory materials can operate up to 1500°C under vacuum. We also use materials such as Tantalum, Tungsten, molybdenum and graphite, or specific ceramics. The devices are instrumented with heating elements and temperature sensors SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED for very high temperatures and clean environments.
Some of these achievements operate in the International Space Station and CEA research reactors.
Furnace for material science in space
Description :
Soterem has developed several space furnaces, instruments for experiments in materials science in space. Their core can achieve melting temperature up to 1450°C.
To this day, more than thirty alloys have been successfully tested in the ISS.
